My New Hamster

Ever since grade 3 I wanted to get a new hamster. Finally on April 21, 2009, I got a cute little hamster and here is my story.
For the past week there was an chinchilla looking for a new home. When I heard that I kept on asking my parents. I went into my room and I realized my room was not big enough for two 3 feet cages because they are bigger than a guinea pig.
Here is in order, how big the domestic rodents are, from small to big.
- Hamster
- Guinea Pig
- Chinchilla
- Rabbit
- Ferret
When my parents came home April 21th I asked my parents if I can get a hamster. That night my parents went for a drive and came home with a box from Petland. I almost screamed. It was a hamster. If it was a boy I will call him Russel. but it’s a girl and her name is Stella and she is active, cute and funny.

I think that is cool how you got your own hamster. I used to have a pet guinea pig, but I never played with it because I was so busy so my family and I decided to give it to someone else. Hey, I am Elizabeth from Michigan. I really like your blog! That is so cool how your parents surprised you with a hamster. I really want a dog since I don’t have any pets. My whole family wants a Field Spaniel. They are so cute with black bodies and little white bellies. I absolutley love them!
