Everybody changes their ideas on what they want to do for their career. Trust me I know, but any way here is what I want do when I grow up.

My first idea was helping out at the Courtenay & District Museum by setting up exhibits or help out around the gift shop. My favourite part of the museum is the Elasmosaur. I did the Elasmosaur for my heritage fair project you may have heard about. Any way the people who worked there offered if can help out around sometimes.

My second idea was working at Petland by showing people where everything is or talking to them about the animal they want to chose. You see my parents went to Petland to get me my second hamster Stella. Also Petland is my favourite pet store. I likew all the little animals in there. Last Summer I went in Petland. I past a parrot and it said hello. It took me a couple minutes just to figure out who said it.

Enough about me what job do you want to do when your older???

In the two weeks of learning we had so much fun. We took lots of neat pictures and took so many. The glocal software was created by a collage called Arts Umbrella. I took so many neat pictures through the experience. But I took so many I couldn’t pick favourite picture, so I made a little video of all my favourite pictures.

If your answer is yes then read these tips.

Feeding Your Hamster

You should feed your a variety of foods as dry foods or a mixture of seeds.

You can feed your hamster some fresh fruits and veggies every day, such as carrots, cucumbers, celery, grapes, starwberries or apples. But don’t feed your hamster citrus, rotten, sugary or dairy foods. Give your hamster a few porraige oats atleast once a week.

Your Hamster’s Babies

Before the babies are born make sure you find at least 15 homes because there could be up to 14 baby hamsters.

The babies must leave their mother after three weeks.

The babies will start fighting with each other if they kept together after six weeks.

Bringing Your Hamster Home

Before you bring your hamster home you need get a lot of stuff to make your hamster feel at home.

Here’s the stuff you need to get: A large cage, bedding, A little house, ceramic food bowl, A salt lick for the salt it needs in it’s diet, a bottle with a metal sipping tube, fruit tree branches to gnaw on, toys and a hallow ball to put the hamster in to let run around while you clean the cage.

A box to bring the hamster home in.

Your Hamster At Home

Feed your hamster every day

Love your hamster forever

Now that you know how to take care of a hamster, maybe you can have one of your own

Dextre was built like Lego. On Dextre there is a flag from Japan. All this time Dextre has been in Space it’s been only testing. Can you believe it; it has been testing for one year. It hasn’t even been in real work only testing WOW.

The Canadarm2 has been catching little Space Pod like things called Free Flyers. If a Free Flyer floats by the Canadarm2 has 90 seconds to catch the Free Flyer, that’s a minute and a half. That’s not long so it has to catch it quickly. If it misses it has to wait until the Free Flyer floats by again.

This webcast was very interesting. I can’t wait until the next webcast.

The other day Mr. Grey came in to tell about robots. In class we are studying about robots. Mr. Grey came in brought robots for us to see and test out. It was totally awesome. In this post I am going to tell you about the fun we had and jobs the robots do.

” Now who wants to drive this robot” as Mr. Grey points at green robot. Blake was first to drive. Our goal was to pick up a yellow tennis ball. I wish I can remember the green robot’s name but I can’t.

This next robot is called the Vexplorer. You can control this robot from a TV kinda like how they operate Dextre and the Canadarm2. I drove that one too. It was so cool.

Two Days Later. . .

Mr. Grey came back with the Vexplorer. Me, Haley, Max and Kris got interviewed by a reporter from Comox Valley Record newspaper. It was so cool because the day after we got interviewed we got our picture in the newspaper.

I guess your wondering what the different jobs robots do. Well they do jobs from dangerous to boring. Here’s the list for dangerous jobs.

High Toxic Fumes are too dangerous for humans

Fires can give a person 3rd degree burns (Ouch)

when explosions happen robots can what set the explosion

Here’s the list for boring jobs

Chores if the human is sick or injured (vacuuming, lawn etc)

You see all the jobs and others. Robotics is very cool. But I can tell you one thing robots are awesome.
