Brittany’s Favourite Things

Everyone  around the world is wondering how to make our home a better place. Well I’m here to give tips and talk about how we can make the world a better place. Along the way I will be answering questions that people might have.

People around the world are trying so hard to make the best world and I respect that. If only everyone can pitch in right.That’s why I’m here to help you make the best world ever. If only there is no such thing as terrible people. That’s my wish to the best world ever.

PersonallyI would like a world full peace and no villains. What I mean is no people responsiblefor a crime. I would also like a environmental healthy. Everyone can pitch in that to a better world to live. Everyone wishes this and here are some tip of what we can do to help.

• Set up a local clean up so you and some other people can clean up a local park ( garbage, cans inc )
• And any thing you want to do to help

Like what I said it your choice for a better future. I bet some of you seen Wall-e right. Well did you see the Earth we don’t want the future to be like that so do some thing about it. I’m not saying you have to but it would be very nice.  You will be also helping the grabage man. If we don’t use so much garbage not a lot of garbage is going to the land fill.  We can use less garbage, compost and recycle. But please don’t put garbage in our oceans. We’re not the only people here there is also animals so let’s make them happy as well

Hi everyone it’s me again with a Santa update.

Most kids think Santa’s a fake but his real because I got I got something to prove it, a Santa letter. Sorry that I didn’t write my letter said but I am going to tell you what my Santa letter said.

Here’s what it said:

Dear Little Friend, Brittany

Thank you so much for writing to me. Reading your letter was a great break from these hectic days here in Santa’s Workshop.

I can tell from your letter you’re loking forward to the holidays just as much as we are. The more the Elves load my sleigh, the more excited I get – and the more inpatient my reindeer become to head off on our big night. But, they’ll have to wait a few more nights yet, HO HO HO!

And what a magical night it is! Rudolph and I travel all around the world stopping at the homes of girls and boys everywhere, seeing many wonders along the way. We are amazed by how beautiful our planet is and how important it is for all of us to take good care of it.

After I return from making my rounds, Mrs. Claus, the Elves and I will exchange holiday wishes, share some special and funny memories . . .

He said a lot of stuff in the letter.

Do you belive in Santa, tell me what you think about him. 

I love the holidays, the tree, the carols, the fun and most importantly the joy of giving. If you’re going to shop for people, think about what they like. That’s what I do.

Some kids write a letter to Santa Claus but you already know about him. I’m also going to tell you about what happens every year.

It’s a week before the holidays and everyone is busy, they wish it was a white Christmas. Some of you might not know the phrase white Christmas. White Christmas means it snows through Christmas, Cool right. Well guess what we’re getting a white Christmas this year HOORAY; OK let’s get back to the topic.

It’s the day before Christmas also known as Christmas Eve. Every year family comes up to our house. We have dinner and then we go look at Christmas lights. My favorite houses are houses that are covered top to bottom with Christmas lights.

“Brittany wake up its Christmas” whispered my Mom. After I heard that I jumped out of bed like a jack rabbit. Yes Christmas finally came. I ran to the living room like a race horse.

First we open our stockings. One year I got cat toys for my new hamster cage. I can’t tell you what’s going on this year because we didn’t have Christmas yet.

After we have open presents we go to Grandma’s house for a yummy pancake breakfast.

Since my uncle came up we get to open more presents. Last year my aunt gave me at least two pounds of chocolate.

Now we go to my Oma’s for lunch and more presents. Lunch is always the best. Usually we have a tossed salad with meat and the last thing is always a surprise.

Sometimes we go back to Grandma’s for dinner and to spend time with the family.

For dinner is a typical dinner. Turkey, stuffing, potatoes and lots of other stuff.

That’s what I do for Christmas. What do you do for Christmas?

COME ON MOM WE’RE GOING TO BE LATE!

Today was going to be great because we were going to meet an astronaut, and no he’s not a T.V. character he’s a real astronaut. His name, Clay Anderson an engineer. What an engineer does is to make sure the space shuttle is working properly so it wouldn’t break down while your in the air.

Today we are going to N.A.S.A. to learn about the space station, and even talk to couple astronauts. But first we have to get to space, everyone to the bus so we can go to The Take Off Station, look there’s our ride. To the bus everyone, the wheels on the bus goes round and round, round and round . . .

We’re here. This is the Take Off Station. You see the take off pad . . . yes Billy! What’s that thing on the take off pad ? Billy I was just going to talk about anyway that is a Space Shuttle and we will be going to the space station in it HURRAY, wait remember this educational field trip so don’t go wild. Now get in the shuttle OK.

This is my good friend Bill Stewart, he is the driver of the shuttle, now everyone in the shuttle but first I have to make a class count so everyone line. So let’s see Billy, Bobby, Robbie, Ray, Helen, Heather, Casey and Stellaluna OK everyone is here, so is everyone ready YA now everyone on the shuttle and let’s go to space shall we.

3 2 1 BLAST OFF You can see that now we’re about to burst out of the atmosphere. The atmosphere is made out of different types of gases, such as Green-House gases, Methane, Carbon Dixide  and Oxygen.

Now who can name all the planets, yes Stellaluna go ahead. Um Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. Well done Stellaluna, WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA teacher why are we floating.That’s because there is no gravity in Space.

Miss we’re here. Great, on your left you can see the International Space Station But you can call it the I.S.S. The I.S.S. is made for different things such as studying Space and planets all the planets like Stellaluna said. Now who is ready to meet an astronaut, YA, OK then let’s go.

Here in the I.S.S. we study rocks and minerals. Every year build on to it . . .

It’s a long script so I’m going to finish the story quickly.

When they got to the I.S.S. Clay showed them around the space station.

When it was time to go home, the students kept on talking about the field trip.

Billy asked the teacher ” what our field trip going to be ”

The teacher answered ” I don’t know ”

Our Class made some very cool Pivot Animation. Our teacher put all our videos on something like Youtube. But instead of Youtube she put on something called Vimeo.

A few months ago in class we made book covers. This is my book cover.

The book is about a cat who wondered what is in the forest. It all started to a trip to the library.

It was 12:30 after lunch and we were going to the library. The teacher said that we had to pick out a book that was a fiction novel about animals. Usually I’ll pick my favourite book Warriors but they didn’t have it, can you believe it they didn’t have my favourite book. Then I saw it The Forest of Clans, I read back and it was great, listen to this:

Is there things in th moving the forest? Is there animals bigger than the cat? Is it safe to go in?

 Was that great, well guess what I’m going to get it I’ll read it when we get back to class. Well we’re back and it’s silent reading or partner reading. Well check out the prologue:

“Blackheart, I have had the kittens and I need to care for the clan so can you keep them safe.”

“What? you want me to keep the kittens safe? they think don’t even know me, they think that I’m an enemy warrior, from a different clan, they won’t believe in me.”

“Yes they will if you believe in them” said Tigerlily.

They turned back to see the kittens and realized that the kittens were dead expect one kitten, a jumpy little tortoiseshell she-cat,

“Blackheart you may name her I must go now” said Tigerlily sadly and she sprinted off. Blackheart was left with the kitten and named her Peacekit.

Now wasn’t that great? It’s might be the best book I ever read!

The day before Remembrance Day the class and I drew pictures. The pictures were about people thinking about what it would be like to be at war.

 This is the picture I drew. It’s about a girl taking a nap. But while she was asleep she dreamed about the cementary and all the soldiers who died in the war to make peace today.

My P.S.A.

The other day Wendy Schebel visited our class. She is from the Comox Valley Regional District. It was the day when we would finally find out who the finalists are in the video competion.

We found out who the finalists are. I didn’t think much about it because I thought I wouldn’t win. But when she announced the names I was shocked when she said when my name. The way she announced my name is that she said ” The first finalist name begins with B” and my teacher showed the video. I made a really weird face.

The prizes were a sling bag and a thermo water. Both prizes had the Comox Valley Regional District logo on the prizes. The bottle even had my name tape on the bottle it self. The sling bag came in two colours blue and green. Since two green bags and one blue bag, and since I was the first one called up I took the blue bag.

After that I know what your thinking. If you are thinking that it was the best day ever, your somewhat right but actually after that it was just a normal day.

This is my favourite game I like to do a recess. Have you heard of the book Warriors? well, here is what the game is about.,

I’m a kitten named Darkit. I’m a dark brown she-cat ( girl). I also have a muscular body. My Father Blackheart is the king of ShadowClan but in the book there are  no kings. Blackheart also has a muscular body, blackish brown and has amber eyes and his brother Tigerclaw has a tanish brown body and is a  tom ( boy). He is also my Uncle. My Mother is the queen of ThunderClan. Her name is Goldenflower. She is a sleek orange tabby and has hazel eyes.

In the game I have a big family problems. My Mother has told me how my Father has always been a powerful warrior but wait till you hear this! He ordered my Mother to let him have me for two weeks but I kept on protesting. My Mother said I had to. So on the first day I came to ShadowClan Father took me into the nursery.

There’s another problem: I have a hard time making friends because I look so much like my Father. Let’s get back to the story.

But when I got into the nursery they started scratching me. I saw one kitten who was playing with a moss ball. But when the kitten’s mother came in she took me by the scruff of the neck and tossed me out of the nursery. When Father saw me shaking on the ground he told me that we are now going back to ThunderClan.

In ThunderClan the making friend job is worse, much worse

Once I was ThunderClan I ran straight for the nursery to find Mother but instead I saw a flame colored kitten. I asked what his name was. He said it was Flamekit. Then he started chasing me. I said to myself, “Luckly I’m sleek and fast.”

I need to pick a Clan. Can you help me?          

Safety Skits

The skit we did in school today was about costumes. Me and my desk group had tons of fun making the skit for the kids. We were showing the kids that it’s not safe to wear long dresses and shoes that are too big you. Also be careful with dark helmets. We just hope the kids have had as much fun as we did.

Halloween

After lunch it was time for the Halloween Happenings.Halloween Happenings is where we go around the all over the place to do different types of stations. I’m going to tell you about each and every station. Let the fun begin.

First up a matching/mystery board game The Secret Door. The object of the game is to find matching treasures before the clock strikes midnight.

SPARE! Next up is Bowling For Ghosts. Just like regular bowling but the pins look like little ghosts. It’s a fun game, trust me I played the game and it rocked.

 Next is Computers. In Computers I played Eggs of Destruction. What you try to do is to try to hit your opponent. You play as a chicken trying to hit another chicken. There were other games but that’s the game I played. This game is super weird.

BINGO! Next up is French Halloween Bingo. This game was super fun, I won the first game and almost won the second game. man that was a fun game.

” I’m going to draw a kitty” My last station was silhouettes. I drew a whole bunch of little Halloween characters in my silhouette. Now that was fun.

If I had to pick my favourite it would be a hard decision. My favourite is all the games. I hope you all had a fun Halloween.
